A Stones Throw is an ongoing project, ever adapting and evolving as time, politics and the landscape change year on year. It’s an exploration of class structures, wealth divide and deprivation, but also what it means to be an island city, the most densely populated outside of London. It’s an exploration of identity, of the city that wears its heart on its sleeve and adorns itself in everyday life through its presence in the landscape. Its title comes from a news article which describes two streets, a stone’s throw away, with a life expectancy difference of 8 years.
